One warning about finding it. The pub sits just off the main tourist streets, up a small alley that is easy to walk past. Look for the yellow staircase lined with empty beer bottles — that is the way in.

The menu is bigger than you’d expect from a cosy little pub. If you’re keeping it light, fresh juices start from 45,000 VND, while smoothies and hot drinks are mostly around 60,000 VND.

Food comes from the kitchen upstairs: fried spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, and a vegetarian selection that is real, not an afterthought. Most tables get free prawn crackers or fruit while they wait. It is cooked fresh, which means it is slow — order before you are hungry, not after.
When to go, and who you’ll drink with
Sapa is not a party town, and Local Pub Sapa does not pretend otherwise. The crowd is backpackers down from the trekking trails, a few long-stay expats, and Vietnamese travelers who found it on Google. By 9 PM on a weekend, the pool table has a queue.
Seating is the real limit. The room is small, and on busy nights, the good seats go by 8 PM. Arrive early if you want the balcony, which looks over the valley side of town.
A plan that works: walk the Sapa night market first, then climb up here for a pint once the stalls start repeating themselves. The pub is a five-minute walk from the market and a much warmer place to finish the evening.
Two honest notes. Card payment is unreliable, like most of Sapa — bring cash. And weeknights out of season can be very quiet; if you want noise and dancing, this is the wrong room.
