Rainbow slides: all three (Sapa Green Valley, Cat Cat Village, Swing Sapa) open daily, year-round. The only thing that stops them is heavy rain, because the surface has to be dry. Mid-September is the tail end of the rainy season and the rain drops noticeably compared to August, with most of it falling overnight. Go in the morning and you’ll almost always get your rides in. Green Valley is our pick: the 100,000 VND entry includes unlimited slides.
Paragliding: yes, it flies year-round. The licensed operator is Fly Sapa — take-off from Ham Rong Mountain, landing in Ta Van village in the Muong Hoa Valley, about 10–15 minutes in the air, 2,390,000 VND (~$100) per person including GoPro photos and hotel pickup. One thing to set expectations: by mid-September the rice in Muong Hoa is mostly harvested — the golden colour peaks from mid-August to early September — so you’ll fly over freshly cut terraces rather than gold ones. The view is still spectacular; it’s just a different palette.
