Landing at Noi Bai and heading straight for the mountains? Sao Viet’s minivan meets you at the terminal and runs you 5 km to their Noi Bai office; there you board the sleeper cabin bus to Sapa without entering Hanoi. Six hours later a second minivan drops you at your Sapa hotel.
Cabins are the standard 90 × 180 cm pods — single upper, single lower or double lower — and the fare covers both minivan legs, the cabin, and hotel drop-off in Sapa.
Why Choose the Sao Viet Airport Bus?
Direct from the airport: pickup at Domestic Arrival Gate E1 or International Column 17, no taxi into the Old Quarter and back out again — that alone saves 2 hours. The only bus with a toilet: six hours after a long flight, this matters more than any massage seat. Hourly, late into the night: 19 departures, the last at 00:30, and Sao Viet moves you to the next bus free if your flight is late.
The trade-offs: two short minivan legs (terminal → Noi Bai office, Sapa office → hotel) add 20–30 minutes, and cabins are 90 cm wide, snug for two in a double. - Single Cabin (Upper) $18: your own pod up a short ladder — quietest, cheapest. Single Cabin (Lower) $21.50: same pod at floor level, no climbing — as popular as the double with our guests; pick it with heavy bags or bad knees. Double Cabin (Lower) $30: one 90 cm berth for two, $15 each; snug, so bigger couples take two singles.

A very cosy travel in Sapa Nomad/Sao Viet bus travel. The trip was from Hanoi to Sapa, vice versa. The bus got WiFi, mineral water and blanket provided, even i was provided with shutter service to send me to Sapa hotel when I arrived at 4am. tip top!
