Pistachio Hotel Sapa is not just a place to stay for tourists visiting the “foggy town”, it also serves as a cherished “miniature museum” that strives to preserve the unique cultural heritage of the highland ethnic groups, while seamlessly blending in with a trendy resort style. 

Nestled in the heart of Sapa, on Thac Bac Road, this hotel is like an oasis amidst the bustling city center. Guests are treated to mesmerizing views of the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley and the awe-inspiring Hoang Lien Son mountain range, from the captivating sunrise to the breathtaking sunset. By simply opening their balcony door, visitors can welcome ethereal clouds rushing into their room, instantly immersing themselves in a fairyland or indulging in the alluring wonders that this land has to offer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pistachio Hotel Sapa, and I must say, the location was absolutely stunning. As soon as I stepped into my room, I was greeted with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Not only that but the hotel is conveniently situated just 650m from Sapa Center, making it easy for me to explore the town and its charming attractions. The proximity to famous landmarks like Fansipan Mountain, Stone Church, and Sun World Fansipan Legend was definitely a bonus. But what truly stole my heart was being able to witness the magnificent Muong Hoa train funicular from the comfort of my own room.

Accommodation: Rooms, Amenities, Services Offered

In terms of accommodation, I had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel that offered a range of accommodations and amenities. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Additionally, the hotel offered a range of services, including room service and laundry facilities, which added convenience to my stay.

One highlight at Pistachio Hotel Sapa was the Red Dao Spa, where I indulged in their “specialty” package of bathing with Red Dao medicinal herbs. It was a truly rejuvenating experience that left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. Another standout feature was the hotel’s infinite swimming pool, which boasted stunning valley views and was enclosed by transparent glass walls. The clean water and perfectly regulated temperature made it a delightful spot for swimming year-round. 

However, I must mention that the soundproofing of the room left something to be desired. Unfortunately, I could hear noises from neighboring rooms, including a baby crying, which disrupted my sleept. 

Dining: Restaurants, cuisine options, dining experience

My meal experience at Pistachio Hotel Sapa left me with mixed sentiments. On one side, the buffet was amazing, presenting a delicious assortment of delicacies, including my favorite Vietnamese specialty, phở bò, which tasted exactly like the famed stalls in Hanoi. The ambiance of the restaurant was very lovely, which enhanced the overall meal experience. 

However, I was rather disappointed by the lack of variety in the dining options. There wasn’t much change between days, and after a few meals, I started seeking more variety. 

Customer Service: Staff Friendliness, Responsiveness To Needs

I was delighted to experience excellent customer service throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any questions or concerns I had. During check-in, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process. They swiftly handled all administrative tasks while engaging in pleasant conversation. Additionally, whenever I encountered any troubles during my stay – whether it was a problem with my room or needing assistance with directions – they were quick to respond and resolve any issues that arose.

One particular highlight was my dining experience at one of the restaurant at Pistachio Hotel Sapa. The waitstaff not only provided exceptional service but also took the time to recommend local dishes that suited my preferences perfectly.

However, it is important to note that there were a few instances where customer service fell short of expectations. For instance, one evening at dinner, our server seemed disinterested and did not pay much attention to our needs. It took multiple attempts for us to get his attention when we needed something.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my experience at Pistachio Hotel Sapa was a mixed one, with both positive and negative aspects. While the hotel’s stunning location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent amenities contributed to a memorable stay, there were some drawbacks such as ineffective soundproofing and occasional lapses in staff responsiveness. Despite these challenges, I appreciated the overall effort of the hotel staff to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.
