3. Two of these hotels changed names. The lakeside “Victoria Sapa” is now Sapa Mountain Resort under Meliá, and “Sapa Legend” now trades as Canvas Sapa Legend. Same buildings, same spas — newer research than most lists carry.

KK Sapa Hotel adds five-star polish on a quiet side street — its 11th-floor Royal Spa lists herbal baths and massage from 868,000 VND on the hotel’s own site. Canvas Sapa Legend gives you a spa centre and 69 fresh rooms by the lake for around $35.
Budget tier: massage under $30 a night
