I recently had the opportunity to visit Sailing Sapa, and I must say, it was a breath of fresh air. As soon as I arrived, all the pressure and fatigue from my hectic work life seemed to melt away. The noise and dust of the city were replaced by serene nature and a sense of tranquility. Sailing Sapa provided a haven where I could truly experience Sa Pa in all its unspoiled glory. Whether you choose to view it from a higher vantage point or get up close and personal at ground level, you won’t be disappointed by its striking beauty. The journey to reach this spot was surprisingly easy, as there are multiple transportation options available such as a motorbike, taxi, or private car.

As I stepped foot into Sailing, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over me. The peaceful ambiance combined with the picturesque surroundings created an idyllic setting for relaxation and exploration.

Design and Space at Sailing Sapa

Sailing Sapa’s campus is a stunning place filled with picturesque spots perfect for taking photos and soaking in the breathtaking scenery. The shop features an open design that allows visitors to fully appreciate the beauty of Sapa village. You can relax outside, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, and breathe in the fresh mountain air. 

Inside, the warm atmosphere is created with wooden tables, chairs, and beautifully patterned brocade furniture, reflecting the essence of the surrounding mountains and forests. The large windows provide a panoramic view of the majestic mountains and charming villages, making it a great spot to witness the golden rice season, where the fields shimmer in the afternoon sun. 

Constructed with wood and bamboo, Sailing Sapa offers a space that feels natural and inviting. The thoughtful architectural details add a rustic charm, allowing you to experience the peace and tranquility that Sapa is known for.

Cafe Experience

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly complemented the stunning view overlooking the Muong Hoa Valley. The sight of the ripe rice fields, the gentle rhythm of working people, and the majestic backdrop of the Hoang Lien Son range created a truly captivating atmosphere.

But what truly stood out were the unique offerings on the menu. From refreshing smoothies to expertly crafted cocktails, Sailing Sapa boasts a diverse selection of beverages that cater to every taste. 

Homestay Accommodation

Sailing not only has coffee service but also many other services to serve people looking for a separate world. Sailing Sapa also provides unique homestays that help us rest our heads.  I want to emphasize one thing: sleeping in homestays at Sailing Sapa will never feel restless. 

I had a good night’s sleep as soon as I lay on the bed until morning. So, what are the reasons? I think the rooms at Sailing were cozy and inviting, with comfortable mattresses and all necessary toiletries provided. The soft lighting in the homestay rooms created a relaxing ambiance that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Especially, from the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the surroundings and the warm hospitality of the staff.

Restaurant Dining

I appreciate the cuisine at Sailing, served and prepared by local people. As I took my first bite of the wild banana flower intestines at Sailing, I was pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavors. The dish, known for its unique combination of savory and slightly tangy notes, perfectly showcased the culinary mastery of the local chefs. 

Moving on to the purple vase rice, I marveled at how such a seemingly humble dish could be so incredibly satisfying. The fluffy grains combined with hints of floral undertones created a delightful harmony that left me craving more. Paired with steamed corn cakes and sour soup with wild bamboo shoots, each bite felt like a celebration of nature’s bounty and the deep connection between food and culture.

I especially enjoy the 7-dish grilled chicken, which is a favorite among many visitors. It costs around 250,000 VND per person, making for a hearty and tasty meal. There are also plenty of other grilled and delicious dishes to choose from, so there’s something to satisfy everyone, no matter how picky they might be.

Overall, my dining experience at Sailing was nothing short of magical. The simple yet profound flavors, expertly prepared by passionate locals, truly captured the essence of the region. Dining here was not just about enjoying a meal; it was about immersing oneself in a culinary journey filled with history, tradition, and unforgettable moments shared around the table.

Other Activities

Arriving at Sailing Sapa, I was greeted by the enchanting presence of local Hmong children, their playful energy adding to the charm of the surroundings. Eager to explore, I followed my friends to Muong Hoa stream, a short stroll away. The gentle flow of the stream, accompanied by the laughter of the children, enveloped me in a sense of tranquility. Although the skies on that day were a little bit overcast, the scenery of mountains, forests, and lush rice fields was simply breathtaking.

Besides, I was delighted to discover a cozy fireplace where guests gather to share stories and warmth. In the evenings, we gathered around the crackling fire, roasting marshmallows and enjoying the camaraderie. The fireplace became the heart of our experience, fostering connections and creating cherished memories.
