  • Location: Lao Chai – Y Linh Ho, Sa Pa, Việt Nam
  • Rating: 9.8/10

I had an incredible experience staying at Sapa Clay House, and its location truly added to the excitement of my trip. Situated just 1.94 kilometers from the city center, it was incredibly convenient for exploring the area’s attractions.

I was thrilled to find that it was also close to the stunning Muong Hoa Valley, where I spent hours soaking in the breathtaking views. Clay House Sapa offers two main types of rooms. Now, I will review about the experience of each type here:

Private Bamboo Hut

Detailed insights into rooms, amenities, and services available at Clay House Sapa

As I stepped into the private Bamboo Hut at Clay House Sapa, I was immediately captivated by the charming blend of local bamboo and pine wood design. The view of Hoang Lien Son Mountain from my private balcony was simply breathtaking, overlooking the picturesque paddy rice fields of Y Linh Ho Village. The 40m2 room exuded comfort and tranquility, with an expansive living room and a special outdoor shower that connected me to nature in a unique way. The highlight for me was the private wooden bathtub nestled amidst a serene garden, offering a truly luxurious bathing experience.

However, despite the enchanting setting and luxurious amenities, there was one aspect that slightly dampened my experience at the 4 Private Huts – the lack of soundproofing between huts. I heard noise from other restaurants, which made it a bit difficult for me to sleep.

Seasonal House

My stay at the Seasonal House at Clay House Sapa was a delightful journey through the four seasons. Each room, adorned in the colors of nature’s cycles, offered a unique ambiance for every stay. Constructed from local clay, the room provided a cozy yet natural retreat. However, one drawback was the limited space in the bathroom, which felt a bit cramped. Nonetheless, the stunning views from the private balcony made up for it, offering a breathtaking vista of Hoang Lien Son Mountain and the picturesque paddy fields of Y Linh Ho Village.

Dining: Restaurants, Cuisine Options, Dining Experience

Rating: 9.3/10

My dining experience at The Rice Signature Restaurant at Sapa Clay House was wonderful. The restaurant draws inspiration from the best mountain rice in Northwest Vietnam, resulting in a menu that showcases the rich flavors of the region. Each dish was like a work of art, meticulously crafted and bursting with flavor.

However, I felt it was slightly overpriced. Despite this, the quality of the ingredients was undeniable, sourced from local gardens, neighboring farms, and the Hoang Lien Son Mountain. Nonetheless, the restaurant’s commitment to using high-quality, organic ingredients and offering a diverse range of options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes, was commendable.

Customer Service: Staff Friendliness, Responsiveness To Needs

Assessment of staff friendliness, responsiveness, and overall customer service experience

Rating: 8.8/10

During my stay at Clay House Sapa, I experienced exceptional friendliness and responsiveness from the staff. They greeted me warmly and were always eager to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. However, one aspect of the service that fell short was the lack of follow-up on a specific request I made for extra towels. Despite notifying the staff twice about my request, the additional towels were slowly delivered to my room. This makes me disappointed a little bit about my overall experience.

Conclusion

In conclusion, after a comprehensive review and analysis of Clay House Sapa, it is evident that this establishment offers a unique and memorable experience. The stunning natural surroundings, combined with the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly staff, make it an ideal choice for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. With its well-appointed rooms and excellent amenities, Clay House Sapa provides comfort without compromising on authenticity!
